I didn't chime in on the other conversation, but what would be great is if there were weekly or biweekly tgz's of updated documentation for downloading.

Weekly or biweekly wouldn't make sense. The online docs are usually updated* no more than once a month. Some means of getting the updates as they're available (via a tgz, or software update even) is a common request, and I think is in the works. File a bug or provide feedback to Tech Pubs to let them/us know how important this is.

*defining updated. Docs are actually written and updated on all the time basis, but updates are "pushed" to the public site on a monthly schedule (more or less).
