I wasn't aware that anything had changed in that regard (although I
haven't checked extensively). AFAIK it is still configured to update
via a cron job that will never run on probably 90% of Macs due to their
power saving settings or even the fact that they are simply turned off
at half past four in the morning on a Saturday.
