yeah that's what I'm doing or was doing with fftw under os9, real to
complex. I'm using it to make spectral quicktime movies of audio files.

hummmm... faster is good, but the implementation looks a little abstruse
compared to fftw... and I'm writing freeware so 'easy' is better.

really what I was wondering is if any cocoa people are using it... and the
answer is apparently yes, two or three or so.
