On 10.2, you'll need to retain the view in question, and then remove it from the view hierarchy. This is somewhat tedious, and it introduces resizing issues, which is we got -setHidden: added to the kit.


What I used to do on Jaguar and earlier, was replace the view I wanted to hide with a stand-in that didn't draw anything, and had the same resizing attributes as the hidden view.
