Just wondering if there is a bug in NSSegmentedControl. After
upgrading to Tiger, I've been taking advantage of IB to visually
construct a segmented control. In a standard window, the control
displays just fine. However, using either
NSTexturedBackgroundWindowMask or
NSUnifiedTitleAndToolbarWindowMask causes the top frame of the
control to disappear, as though it didn't all fit inside its cell.
I am subclassing the window in question to alter its style mask
according to user preferences during init. I don't believe this
should cause any display problems though.
This is an issue in both 10.4.1 and 10.4.2.
I tried this out in IB, and I only saw the effect you describe when
the segmented control was at the very top of the contentview. What
happens if you just move it down a few pixels?
