I don't know, but I'm sure that the option was evaluated. If it wasn't used, it's because there was a Good Reason...

It occurs to me, though, that this is somewhat off topic for this list. Mea culpa for prolonging it here. I think(?) it may be appropriate for the Xcode list, so please take it there. (Please cc me on any follow-up messages if you'd like my input, insofar as I'm able to provide it.)
