Why would you want to install it outside of the application bundle?
If LaunchServices has found it inside the app bundle, why move it
anywhere else? That would only create problems later, for example,
if you delete the app, the MDImporter wouldn't automatically be
removed.
Sorry to go off on a bit of a philosophical direction, but would you
_want_ the importer to be removed? Perhaps I delete, say, Pages, but
I've still got a bunch of Pages documents around on my disk.
Personally I'd still want them to be found.
