Hi Glenn - thanks for the response. I'm not troubled by how to
turn the NSView into an NSImage. Rather, I'm concerned about how I
get the NSView in the first place. Once I have the NSView, I'm
comfortable. The problem is that I have to use an unsupported
technique at the moment to get at the "borderView" of the window.

The point was that dataWithPDFInsideRect: is a method of the NSWindow
itself, not a view (so you don't need to get the NSView at all)
