Re: compressing and uncompressing a .mov file on the fly

MOV files are already compressed; that's what the video/audio codecs do.
I would just experiment with picking the best codec that you can... MPEG4/H.264 etc. The iTunes Music Store can provide a 20-second trailer for any TV show within seconds (on broadband at least), and that's just a plain old QuickTime movie.

Hi all,

Im hoping to distribute a quicktime movie with my application....its only 10-20 secs long but its clearly going to have a real impact on the size of the distribution....whats the best solution to this? is there one?

Yours cheerfully,

Andrew Bush
