I haven't tried this yet, but a very quick search of the documentation
shows these QTMovie attributes:

QTMovieLoopsAttribute
QTMoviePlaysSelectionOnlyAttribute

Perhaps the QTMovie, QTMovieView, QTKit and related documentation
would help you?
