It's all there in the Xcode documentation, and it's easy to find:
ADC Home > Reference Library > Cocoa > Getting Started
Yes, indeed: GETTING STARTED ;-)

Certainly the Getting Started document gives a good roadmap for learning, but it doesn't explain the roles of the different document types. If you (in the general sense -- that is, "man" rather than "Sie") think that this would be useful, or you have any other suggestions for improving the documentation (that are not specific to a particular article), then you should file an enhancement request.
