I have a NSMenuExtra (I know its private, I inherited the code)
with a few menu item. These are housed (parent process) by
SystemUIServer AFAIK.
I want to know if it is possible for another application to send
this menu an event to activate one of the choices, basically to
simulate a user clicking on one of the menu items and have it
perform the action associated with it.
Wouldn't it be cleaner to use AppleEvents or Distributed Objects to
achieve the same result? Simpler yet, how about exploiting
NSDistributedNotificationCenter?
