Yes, the story is that a user of the product (IT professional)
complained because were were writing to the /private/var/tmp/folders.
501/TemporaryItems/ via NSTemporaryDirectory(). I was attempting to
confirm that this is the standard method and that it is generally
what other Cocoa developers do. This seems to be the case. As an IT
professional myself, I can sorta see the complaint. On the other
hand, with proper permissions, it seems like a non-issue.

...and just in case it wasn't picked up... The "501" in the above is the user id each user will get their own.
