RE: colorsync-users digest, Vol 3 #226 - 14 msgs

I know this is an EFI ColorWise discussion and not specifically ColorSync,
but....

I want to clarify the following statement made by email@hidden:

"As for Rendering style, if you select anything other than "Photographics",
your
printout will look good only on "solid color...."

For anyone dealing with the EFI technology, this statement is totally wrong.
Out-of-the-box, the default RI is "Presentation"--which is the same as
Saturation in normal CMM circles. This RI does a great job with photographic
images, too. I have two of our Zs set to Relative Colorimetric for their
default RI--that setting works as expected, too...in fact on some imagery
offers better conversion than selecting Photographic (aka Perceptual)
intent. And before anybody says anything, I'm using custom CMYK profiles on
the Z, too.
