KVM, DVI and calibration

For an upcoming studio upgrade I'd like to run a Windows XP box and a G4 running 10.3.8 off the same monitor (likely an Apple 20") using a DVI compatible KVM switch. The XP box would run scanning software so monitor calibration and color accuracy here are vital. The same fidelity when using the G4 would be a plus, but is not absolutely crucial.

Is it possible to use either i1Match or Coloreyes with DDC enabled with a KVM connected monitor? Would I need to calibrate and profile separately for each computer/video card combo or could I calibrate on the PC and copy the resulting profile to the Mac or vice versa? Is anyone doing something similar in a color managed environment?
