The problem: we are editing TIFF masters in grayscale and then producing derivative JPEGs for viewing on the web. We have no prior experience editing and outputting grayscale images. We have experimented with various settings and find that typically the derivative image looks fine in photoshop but quite a bit darker on the web. So far the only way we have been able to get the web derivative to look the same on the web as it does in photoshop is to convert the file back to RGB, and assign the sRGB profile. Please tell us there is a better way. Grayscale newbies _______________________________________________ Do not post admin requests to the list. They will be ignored.
