It should look fine on a TV screen. If you have a DVD player that can read
folders full of JPEGs, then you can deploy the same content on both,
otherwise you are bound by the maximum resolution of whatever video standard
you happen to be using (720 x 480 for NTSC or 720 x 576 for PAL). A video
slideshow is also going to consume many times the amount of disk space a
series of still images would, so there's really no good reason to distribute
one meant to be viewed on a computer that way at all.
