RE: GE Chroma 50

I used to use the GE Chroma 50 bulbs, but I prefer the Philips TL90
bulbs. Subjectively speaking, the GE seem to be oranger/less blue than
the Philips and the Philips seem to be bluer, possibly more UV content
because I noticed that papers and fabrics with optical brightners in
them appear bluer under the Philips.

Neither are highend type bulbs, but are pretty good for filling large
areas of buildings with D50 light. I have used both to fill a press
rooms overhead lighting and other areas where I need hundreds of bulbs.

Anyone has anything good -- or bad -- to say about the GE Chroma 50
fluorescent tubes? I was at a client this afternoon who uses these for
critical color proofing. I did not have my laptop and EyeOnePro with me.
So I could not fire BabelColor ISO-3664 module to scrutinize the guts of
this lamp.
