I don t want edify, but it is good idea to wait few days with every
upgrade ..

Thanks for sending this advice, but my problem unfortunately is the
other way around (read the description I just posted in the Apple G4
forum), and Classic so far works fine. However I am now confronted with
some unexpected problems with CS2, but that's another chapter!
I have recently installed 10.4. It seemed to work well but then I
installed the 10.4.2 upgrade and from then on the G4 refuses to boot
from an OS9 volume. It freezes on a gray screen, even on a utility CD. I
have taken all current drives off and installed an older OS9 backup
drive, the problem remains the same which makes me think that there has
been a change in the internal program. I absolutely need to boot in OS9
for some apps, how can I remedy this problem?
If you happen to stumble upon the solution, please let me know!
