BasICColor display

Dear list fellows,

Some 2 years ago I bought ICS's BasICColor Display (bought from Chromix actually) along with a Squid sensor.
I had been using v2.54 (last I downloaded) until the Squid died some 6 months ago.
Now I've pulled a Sequel Chroma4 that I had in a drawer (labeled Monaco).
And I can't find a newer version of the software in ICS's site, but I see there's v3.x in the german site. And there's also ColorEyes, right?

so questions are:
1) was the Squid much better than the Chroma4? are the newer sensors much better than these?
2) who will honor my license - the guys at Integrated Color (ColorEyes), the guys at ColorSolutions (basICColor), or none?
3) what's the latest software I can currently use? is it Tiger compatible?
4) any difference between ColorEyes Display and BasICColor Display?

I'd make all this questions to ICS but as they don't seem to carry the product anymore... here I am.

What worries me is that basICColor seems to be tied to the computer's hardware address. Since I'm an Apple Dealer, I have the privilege of switching Powerbooks every now and then for the latest model or for whatever reason. I can't live with software that is tied to my computer, I'd rather have a dongle!
Is that the same with ColorEyes?

thanks in advance,
