The 4800 pro edition is available. We have them in stock and I'm sure some
other Epson dealers do to.
Marco's comments on the ColorBurst Rip are true EXCEPT the price difference
is really greater. The price delta from the 4800 standard to the 4800
Professional Edition is $500 retail. Probably more like $425 realistically.
The Pro version includes the RIP and the Ethernet card. That card has a sell
price of $299 on it's own. When you back that out of the equation you really
are spending only about $125-$150 for that bundled RIP. True it doesn't have
all the features of the full version but at the price difference you need to
decide will it do the job for you with a very real savings of over $500?

We intended to purchase two Epson 4000 units for our prepress labs but
have
been told by our vendor that the Epson 4000 is no longer available. We
wanted the Professional edition with its included RIP due to cost savings.
