So why not have some sort of global preferences in ColorSync for SmartCMM
and DumbCMM? I know that would presupposes the implementation of a SmartCMM
at the OS level, it's not just as simple as, oh!, let's have this,it would
entail deep architectural changes in ColorSync's techhnology, but, given the
choice, I'd bet a lot of users would rather embrace use a SmartCMM
technology. After all, Microsoft will be supporting both WCS and ICC in
Vista. So, it's not like its a dumb idea?
