RE: number of grid points in A2B table

Thanks Stephane,

So technically this is possible but file size will be too big and that's why there is no software that makes such profile? (as well as there is no software that can make use out of such profile)
Am I correct?

Is there a software that makes RGB output profiles with 33 grid points in each table?

regards,
bebris

RE: number of grid points in A2B table

Since a A2B table has a grid size of "grid points at the power of colorant
quantity), a A2B table for a CMYK profile with 33 grid points would require
1185921 table entries per intent, while the same thing for a RGB profile
only require 35937.

If you reduce the amount of points to 17 for a CMYK profile, you fall to
83521 entries...

Hello Terry,

Profiles are different output profiles (RGB and CMYK). RGB profiles are from
EPSON, CANON. CMYK profiles are from Adobe (Euroscale coated) or ECI
(ISOcoated).
I made same own profiles with PrintOpen 5 and they as well have only 16 grid
points in A2B table, but 33 points in B2A!

I didn't see any profile yet with 33 grid points in A2B table! Why? May be
this isn't technically possible?

regards,
bebris

I've just looked at one of my MonacoPROFILER profiles and it has 17 points
A2B and 33 points B2A. What sort of profiles are you lookng at?

At least this is what I have observed so far...
