The basic problem starts with the preview in the Save for Web dialog, where
sRGB is assigned, regardless of what is actually assigned in the file. I
can see what the Adobe team was thinking, but there should be more user
feedback and control when exporting for web at that point. Simply assigning
sRGB in the preview is not wise.
