Can't you just save the file with the sRGB embedded profile so it looks
good on the "average" monitor and can be color managed by a color-savy
browser? ...or is hat too simple a solution.



And add 1k per image..... Maybe not alot in this broadband age, but if your designing a image heavy webpage, then adding 100k to the download page will make a large difference.
You'd achieve the same result putting the profile in the body tag as above for colour managed browsers.
