Re: Monitor profiling - what is 'correct'

All three look subtly different -- how do I know which is 'best'? And for
that matter, what does 'best' actually mean? Does it really matter ;-)

Yep, none of the instruments agree with each other. I did a quick check recently between a DTP92, DTP94, Eye One Display 1, Eye One Display 2 and a Spectrolino, and all differed from each other by noticeable amounts, typically 3-5 delta E worst case measuring a single display. One organization I know of calibrates each colorimeter they have against a master instrument, simply because the instruments as received don't match each other, and drift somewhat, and they want all the screens to look the same.

Personally I like the feel of the DTP94, but I've got nothing
objective to compare it to for accuracy.
