troubles with midisport : solved

hi

i wanted to share this little experience with you just
in case someone runs into the same problem

i had my midisport 4x4 connected to my apple display
(yes i know this is not recommended :-) and kept getting
strange errors (midi working fine for 1 or 2 minutes then
driver reporting some error)

i moved the midisport to the usb connector ON the Mac
and it works perfectly now
