I would like to create an application that generates different test tones and then runs them through different distortion filters so that the audio can be tested by some testing hardware. Would it be appropriate to create Audio Units to generate the tones and distortion filters? If this is an appropriate solution, where would I begin to find information on how to play an Audio Unit or Audio Unit chain? Thanks in advance.
