Re: Application Level Mute

Not through core audio - you have to have control of the audio code yourself to do this. However, you should be able to use an API from the webview to get this behaviour shouldn't you? If not, I would file a bug to provide that control to your hosting app

Hi,

I'm working on an application and I would like to mute the sound, but only for my application (i.e. only at the application level, not at the system level). The problem is that my application isn't actually playing the sound itself; there is a webview which displays flash content (and I don't have access to change the flash content).

Is there some way to mute either the entire application, the webview, or the flash content? I figure that there is some way to do this with Core Audio, but I haven't been able to find anything. (I'm also open to using other ideas for muting the sound).

thanks
