Re: StartupItemContext & Darwin 6.x

These commands have no equivalent in Darwin 6.x, they were introduced in Darwin 7.x.

Event though StartupItemContext compiles on Darwin 6.x, it may require support from mach_init which isn't present in that version (this is just speculation).

What is the equivalent of a killall and /usr/libexec/StartupItemContext in Mac OS X 10.2 (Darwin 6.x)?

StartupItemContext is only available with Darwin 7.x and later but it can be compiled on Darwin 6.x.

The "only" problem is that it does not look to work correctly from what I'm seeing.

Is there a solution to tweak the code to make it work on Darwin 6.x?

The man page for StartupItemContext is stating 2002. 2002 is Darwin 6.x.
