If you want the date the
original system install occurred, I would assume the date on the
BaseSystem.pkg would be okay.
/var/log/CDIS.custom might be more reliable, since future (and past?)
systems may not necessarily use the name "BaseSystem.pkg" (while this
CDIS.custom has been in use since the public beta as far as I remember).
