I did have trouble getting the Tiger version (not 386.27, but a few versions earlier) to build under Windows. It was a maze of twisty little garbage-collection passages, all alike. Since I don’t have any need for garbage collection, and I didn’t know of any compelling advantages to the Tiger version, I fell back to the Panther version (299.35). I recommend this move unless you know of some specific reason you must have the Tiger version.
