Re: Cancel Sleep

I have found a method to make this possible but i am missing a method to receive notification of the lid closing, or a way to access the data on state of the power (AC/Battery etc) which would let me use IOMessage (At the moment the lid notification is identical to the ac/ dc connection/disconnection which messes up the code)

If you send these notifications to the PMRootDomain it will prevent sleep, but they need to be sent when the lid closes as well as before the lid close (kIOPMDisableClamshell, kIOPMPreventSleep)

But the main point is i need a way to be notified of the clamshells state changing but not the power state changing.

The users are 100% fine with the idea and all i want to know is if its
possible and if so how, it seems no matter where i ask this question i
am confronted with other developers views and not a solution

There is deliberately no solution offered to developers for the same reason that no solution is offered to users.
