If that was the case, the screen could lock upon closure. However, the screen doesn't always lock when slept either. If however, you are saying that sleeping is a security feature in that the machine is no longer available to networks; obviously if the user wants the machine running they wouldn't care about that. From this it seems reasonable to assume that "waking up with the lid closed and an external display attached" is a different case from "don't go to sleep when the lid is closed."--Amanda It is a different case, but the laptop is still running with the lid closed! --David ******************** Ron Paul for President 2008 |
