CoreAudio is part of Mac OS X at the moment. If all you want to use is
Darwin stuff, I'm pretty sure you have to deal straight with the IOKit world
and the drivers.

The best source of info aside from the header, is the sample code in
/Developer/Examples/CoreAudio. Apart from that, there isn't much else in the
way of documentation yet.
