Mach + BSD integration ?

Hello,

Are there some papers (archived emails, etc...) on the Mach + BSD
personality integration in Darwin ? I understand that the two
systems are merged using some unique techniques and looking
through the sources is a difficult method of extracting these
concepts.

Any pointers would be appreciated.
