Building GCC-7 Cross Compiler

Hi,

I have been trying to get GCC-7 to build on my iBook
with Jaguar, my G3 B/W Tower 10.1.5 and darwin-x86
1.4.1. I can compile native (ppc) but not cross to
i386. Compiling natively on x86 also does not work.

I have search the archives and did not find anything
that was relevant (that I could tell).

I have the Darwin (fat) compilers in /usr/local.
The error is:
gen-params: could not invoke
/Volumes/Data1/darwin/src/gcc-7/build/obj/cc-ppc-on-ppc/xgcc
-I. -I/Volumes/Data1/darwin/src/gcc-7/libio -E on
dummy.c

The x86 version:
gen-params: could not invoke
/Volumes/Data1/darwin/src/gcc-7/build/obj/cc-i386-on-i386/xgcc
-I. -I/Volumes/Data1/darwin/src/gcc-7/libio -E on
dummy.c

Any idea how I can fix this?
