Yay... I was able to submit the bug report.. so don't worry about submitting it if you're planning to.

The opensslv.h problem is due to a incomplete software update from Apple. More specifically:

As you can see they installed a new openssl binary without giving us the header files. I've heard there is a new Developers Tools coming out shortly so maybe they addressed this problem there. You can download my OpenSSL.pkg and more explanation of the bug from here<http://sodre.cx/afs/user/sodre/pub/apple/OpenSSL.dmg>. If you can, please submit the bug to the bugtracking database giving credit where it is due. I would do it myself but as I've mentioned I couldn't get my ADC login to work on there.

Okay... so much for the opensslv.h bug... I'll address the zconf.h problem on my next e-mail.

your best bet is to send the patches to the list as an email attachment and then file bugreports on bugreporter referencing your patches.
