The manpage for mount(8) claims that mount itself knows how to deal with UFS directly, without needing to call a "mount_<foreign>" helper program. Have you tried it?

I was going to try out NetBSD-current's support for the Darwin flavor of ffs over the holidays.

But I see that mount_ufs has been deleted from my OSX machine (10.2.2). I know it was there in an earlier version of Jaguar. Anybody know what gives?
