Re: Silly Darwin pthreads question

Shantonu,

I read it from this link:

http://www.llnl.gov/computing/tutorials/workshops/workshop/pthreads/MAIN.html#
TerminatingThreads

... perhaps this isn't the most up-to-date or accurate pthreads resource around? Something akin to Bud's Combination Laundromat, Software Development Consultancy and All-You-Can-Eat Hamburger Emporium?

Regards,

John, wondering if that Bud guy is on to something ...

Now, the pthread documentation i've read indicates that, if main() exits with pthread_exit(), that it waits for all spawned threads to exit before doing the exit itself. O

I'm not disputing this, but where did you see this? I don't seem to have that express contract in my Darwin or Linux (Debian x86) man pages?
