I removed any serial port stuff from the driver and it crashes like before - no difference.
There is no FW device connected, by the way.

Sorry, it is an ISDN communication card which publishes a custom user client API and three serial port emulations. Neither is in use - but I could also remove that code temporarily - I'll try that...

The machine is a Powerbook G4 667 MHz with 512MB RAM and Build 5Q45.
