Re: FW: Disabling Music Store from iTunes

If iTunes is using the UserDefaults system, then you can, I think, specify a global preferences for the disable iTunes preferences at the Global level.

Search ADC for User Defaults and start reading about the domains. I know there is the idea of global preferences. I thought they were for just this type of thing. You want to look at the stuff about Domains.

See
http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/macosx/Cocoa/TasksAndConcepts/ProgrammingTopics/UserDefaults/index.html

Hope that helps and I haven't sent you on a wild goose chase.

Subject: Disabling Music Store from iTunes

Not sure if this is the right list to post this question on (I am obviously
a newbie)

Need to find a way to disable the Music Store from iTunes. We want our
users to be able to play CDs but the Music Store is just way to tempting for
them to break policy. I know you can uncheck the Music Store in the
Preferences but we would like to completely get rid of it.

Anyone know of a way to delete it though the background in the Terminal?
Using Unix???

Thanks All
Courtney
