Re: Subclass

I would like to create a super class with some abstract/virtual methods. In Java I know they are called abstract methods.

I'd like to declare some methods that the subclasses have to implement but that the super class provides no implementation for. How do I do this in Obj-C?

The mechanism in ObjC is to use protocols. A class can inherit any number of these, and they specify what methods the class must offer to implement the protocol. Check out <http://developer.apple.com/techpubs/macosx/Cocoa/ObjectiveC/ 3objc_language_overview/chapter_3_section_9.html> for an introduction.
