Building Apple's Samba and missing headers

I'm trying to build the Samba distribution from Apple (WebDAV, tarballs->10.2.6->other) and it requires checkpw.h. I found it in the source code for the Security framework, but it is labeled private, therefore it isn't installed into the Security framework by default. Is this a mistake?

Similarly Apple's build of Samba also requires CFStringEncodingConverter.h out of CoreFoundation, which isn't in my Mac OS X installation. I had to copy it manually.

Also, the Samba build number available through WebDAV is 25, but the latest on Mac OS X Server is 26. Is it possible to get the diffs?

Apparently somewhere along the way PDC functionality in Samba has been broken (not supported by Apple, but used to work < 10.2.4 or some security update around that time).

Thanks.
