RE: This is all I received of digest # 1158. Did anyone get more?

Before I posted the original message I contacted Earthlink Customer Service and was told that if you are in the process of downloading email when you are cut off from the internet for any reason, it is impossible for an email to be only partially downloaded. Email, I was told, are either completely downloaded and acknowledged by my computer or the Earthlink system would not consider the email received.
After posting my message and receiving a copy of the missing digest, I checked my email by going to the Earthlink site. There I discovered the original email was there and it was complete. The problem now was how to get the email resent to my computer. To the application "Mail" the email had been correctly received and to Earthlinks computers the message had been properly sent, received and acknowledged.
My solution was to create a folder in the account at Earthlink and first move the email there then move it back to the inbox. The Earthlink system then marked the message as NEW and when next contacted by "MAIL" sent it as a new, unseen message. I don't think that should have worked, but it did!
Sincerely;
Carl Anderson
