Hi,

I do face the same problem but the OS is winXP.
I would like to know,do you have shared folder on Win Box or not.
If nothing is shared on Win Box then (Error code -36) will be thrown.

That doesn't make a difference. It can resolve the name as I get the
authentication dialog.

I think it' s looking for a fully-qualified name. Windows makes
assumptions about local domain and I think you'll need to specify it
as part of the url. Try ... smb://myserver.no.netopia.com and
see if that's any better
