USB printer problems

Hi, guys,

I'm trying to get 10.1.5 to talk to an HP Laserjet 1200, via USB, without much success. The syslog is filled with this info from the IOKit USB support:

Aug 21 12:20:54 lightnin mach_kernel: IOUSBInterface: NOTE: Interface descriptor defines more endpoints (bNumEndpoints) than endpoint descriptors

and printing eventually fails (with a negative, 10-digit decimal error code :-}).

FWIW, the print manager gives this error:

Aug 21 14:24:42 lightnin /System/Library/Printers/Libraries/PrintJobMgr/Contents/MacOS/PrintJobMgr:
kCGErrorFailure : CSyncStreamPSDefinition: CMGetPS2ColorSpace: returned -20

Which seems odd, but what do I know (yeah; I know the error number isn't odd...).

Any thoughts?
