Geforce Driver Question

I have been trying to get a PCI Geforce 2 MX400 video card to work on a Blu=
e
& White G3. I have tested several different cards by flashing them with a
mac version of the rom. I found that cards that are close to the reference
design work to various degrees.

I have found that 3 of the cards that I have tested which are all PCI MX400
32mb cards work well with the mac rom and can be used as the startup video
device on my machine. Using the Nvidia reference drivers under OS9 the card=
s
perform perfectly providing fast 2d and 3d graphics acceleration. Some card=
s
become unstable in the 66mhz slot, but I have found one that is 100%
reliable.

Under OSX the cards act as an unaccelerated video card and on my machine 2d
graphics are considerably faster than with the stock ATI rage card. When I
try to use 3d apps though I get a message =B3unable to create an OpenGL
Context=B2 .

Ioreg shows:

If I manually load the driver it does not give an error:

# kextload GeForce2MX.kext
kextload: GeForce2MX.kext loaded successfully

However there is no 3d acceleration.


Can anyone tell me where I could find the Nvidia reference source for OSX s=
o
that I could complile support for the PCI cards into the driver, or help me
with this?


Given that a card works perfectly in OS9 with the reference drivers it
should be possible to make a kernel extension or driver that will allow it
work in OSX.


Any help appreciated.
