Thanks a lot for the tip, it 's probably a part of the solution, the version
strings didn't match indeed.

But I still get this message.

I found 3 or 4 kexts provided with 10.2 that also give this message, but it
doesn't seem to be related to the IOSerialFamily class, as I thought before.

In fact, it seems to be a problem in your kext.


This is because the version declared in your info.plist (see info.plist pane


in PB) does not match the MODULE_VERSION in the "settings" pane of your

build settings (see the expert view of your build settings).
