Re: Building a Kext with Xcode Tools

Hi John,

available that shows how to go about building a Kext with the XCode tools?

Currently Xcode does not provide a native target template for KEXT or I/O Kit Driver projects. But the same JAM-based targets that worked pre-Panther still exist with Xcode and work just fine.

The main practical consideration is that Xcode's cross-development support is not yet available for KEXT projects. This is described in the Xcode 1.0 Release Notes (Xcode > Help > Show Release Notes).

Thanks,
